The Forum of the Dornier Museum impresses with its high ceilings, clearly designed architecture and spacious design. The glazed exterior façade offers a wonderful view of the outdoor area of the museum exhibition and the runway of Friedrichshafen airport. The restaurant covers an area of approx. 260 m² on the north side of the building. Around 120 seats create the perfect setting for lectures, presentations, workshops or smaller gala evenings and celebrations. The restaurant can optionally be opened and closed with sliding glass doors, allowing you to integrate or hide other parts of the museum. The in-house catering team conjures up everything your heart desires, from business brunches and flying buffets to gala dinners. Experience and professionalism pamper the palate in both small and large groups.

Terrace

The approx. 1000 m2 terrace of the Dornier Museum is located on the north side of the museum building and can be hired for your event. The stunning view of the runway, the Zeppelin hangar and airport operations provides a breathtaking backdrop for company celebrations, anniversaries or gala events in the open air. We have also thought of our younger guests: a DO27 specially converted for children serves as a varied playground, guaranteeing that they will never get bored! The partially covered terrace creates a stylish ambience with a lounge feel on warm summer evenings. Even in bad weather, the combination of the terrace with the hangar or the restaurant makes for a fantastic and, above all, weatherproof venue.

Vorfeld

The apron is located on the west side of the museum, directly adjacent to the museum hangar. This 1200 m² outdoor area offers excellent usage properties for product presentations, open-air events, stagings or exhibitions. The hangar can be opened across its entire width to the apron. Nestled between the runway and the landscaped park, it has its own access road. Photo shoots, film productions and art events of a special kind have also taken place on the spacious area and extraordinary backdrop of our apron.
